My journey into photography
My photographic journey began in the late 1950s with a trusty Brownie 127 camera. However, it was much later in life, particularly after retiring as a primary school teacher, that my passion truly deepened. Initially, my focus was solely on landscapes, but I soon found myself branching out into other subjects that caught my eye. I'm drawn to colour in all its various hues, as much as I am to the captivating depths of black and white images.
Capturing emotions and inspiring awe
When people view my photographs, I hope they exclaim 'Wow' and are compelled to look again and again. My aspiration is for them to feel as if they are transported to that moment, wishing they were there, admiring the intricate details or the abstract effects. Ultimately, I hope they envision the photograph beautifully framed and adorning their own wall.
Beyond the lens: travel and adventure
Beyond photography, I have a deep love for travel. I've completed numerous charity bike rides around the world, always ensuring my camera is close at hand to capture unique moments. More recently, my international travels often involve competing in running races or enjoying cruises, continually finding new inspirations for my art.
